Technical Account Manager
Our client is a digital agency that specialises in E-commerce projects for clients both here and in Australia. They are a small but high performing team, and looking for a Technical Account Manager with a good grasp on E-commerce/Shopify to join their team based in Takapuna, Auckland.
As a Technical Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for a portfolio of complex and high-value client accounts. This role sits at the intersection of technology, strategy, and client partnership.
You will work closely with Solution Architects, Technical Leads and client stakeholders to ensure solutions are technically sound, scalable, and aligned to long-term business goals.
This role requires strong leadership and management skills to lead and motivate teams, manage stakeholders, and ensure project success within budget, scope and schedule constraints. You must also have a solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies, as well as excellent communication, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
Prior experience with Shopify projects is a must along with a balance of strong technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and exceptional client relationship skills.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in an agency environment, with a successful track record in managing client projects. Ideally, you will come from a digital background with a broad understanding of the eCommerce world and technologies, specifically Shopify and Big Commerce, and experience with project management software, along with familiarity with Professional Services delivery models and methodologies, including scoping, governance, and resource allocation.
You will be self-motivated and balanced, have the ability to manage multiple deliverables across multiple projects simultaneously, and display strong organisational skills and attention to detail. As a proven relationship manager, you will have superior written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence others.
