Social Media Manager
This role is with an exceptional Auckland based agency, a multi-disciplinary creative production studio. With a diverse team of talents of many persuasions, they work locally and globally with clients to create provocative ideas that live within advertising, design, entertainment, and technology. They are looking for a Social Media Manager to join their team on a 6 month fixed term contract. You will be working on one of the agency's largest and most important client relationships. You will be someone who genuinely understands social, not simply how to publish content, a champion of how brands behave, participate and create culture through social platforms. You will work across a portfolio of leading New Zealand brands, getting under the skin of each one, its audience, its category and its cultural role. You will be responsible for helping shape and deliver their social presence across the year, from strategic content planning and ideation through to copy, calendars, reporting and optimisation. You will work closely with the Head of Content and Strategy, Client Service, Creative and Production teams, while also partnering directly with the client to turn business and brand priorities into engaging, relevant and platform-first content. You will need to be as comfortable looking at a performance report as you are writing a great post. You should be able to spot a cultural opportunity, understand whether it is right for a brand, turn it into an idea, and help make it happen. Most importantly, you will bring a strong point of view on what good social looks like and be confident enough to share it. This is an opportunity to work on some of New Zealand's biggest consumer brands and have a genuine influence on how they show up in culture. You will have the scale and variety of a major FMCG portfolio, combined with the creative environment of the agency.  You will work alongside experienced strategists, creatives, content specialists and producers, with the support to develop your thinking while having real ownership of the social work. If you are someone who understands brands, loves social, knows Kiwi culture, has strong opinions about what makes great content and would love to make work that people actually notice, we would like to hear from you.     Due to the volume of applications, we can only reply to candidates who are suitable for our current roles.
