Brand Marketing Manager
Our client is a New Zealand-founded app that helps users learn musical instruments. With a strong foundation, they are now focused on growth and looking to onboard their first brand marketer, to join their central Auckland team.
You will build the brand marketing function end-to-end, with a high level of autonomy, there is no big team. The audience is global, with extra focus on accelerating growth in the US and UK. You will have a budget to work to, and can bring in contractors/creators to help deliver.
You are someone who is equally at home defining strategy as you are at executing it: scrappy, smart, creative, data-driven and experimental.
This role owns the brand strategy and campaign delivery, along with the social channels, with a focus on TikTok, influencer marketing, and artist relations. As the brand guardian, you will own positioning, guidelines, visual identity and tone of voice across marketing and in-product touchpoints, and be the face of the brand at events and community meet-ups.
The right person for this role will have proven brand marketing experience with consumer brands, with clear examples of growing awareness/reach and translating that into business outcomes. You will be experienced in creating programmes from scratch (content, influencers/creators, artist partnerships, campaigns, community, brand measurement/health tracking) and scaling what works. Strong creative judgment is a must, with the ability to move at pace. You will have a handle on trends/culture and a community-first approach, understanding how culture spreads and know how brands show up authentically and add value. Strategic and hands-on, experimental but rigorous, and highly collaborative across teams.
Most importantly, you will live and breathe music, be it as a consumer or playing an instrument.
This is a small but high-performing team, who value innovation and growth - you will be happy to muck in to achieve the business goals. They offer good WFH options, a great wellbeing policy and are good people to work with.
If you live and breathe music and are excited to take it to the world, apply now.
Due to the volume of applications, we can only reply to candidates who are suitable for our current roles.
