We have partnered with a full-service creative agency based in Sydney, looking for a talented Art Director to join their team. This agency specialises in brand, digital, experiential, and social media projects, working with top clients and having fun while doing it.
This is a full-time hybrid role for a conceptual Art Director. You will lead conceptual direction, art direction, and graphic design across various projects. In this dynamic environment, no two weeks are the same, and neither are the briefs. One week, you could be working on a global brand campaign, and the next, you might handle an experiential activation. The role is primarily based in Surry Hills, Sydney, with some flexibility for remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creative Leadership: Drive the conceptual and visual direction of advertising campaigns by overseeing artwork, copywriting, media planning, digital advertising, and placement across different platforms within specified budgets and schedules. Ensure alignment with client objectives.
- Collaborative Ideation: Partner with copywriters, strategists, and account teams to develop innovative, integrated campaigns and fresh advertising prospects for current products and services.
- Execution Excellence: Oversee the design and production of high-quality visuals across digital, print, social, and experiential advertising platforms, creating and overseeing advertising campaigns to help achieve branding and sales goals while making sure they complement overarching marketing plans.
- Team Development: Mentor and inspire a team of designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Client Engagement: Present creative concepts to clients with confidence and clarity, building trust and rapport.
- Trend Setting: Stay ahead of industry trends, ensuring our creative output is fresh, relevant, and impactful by tracking and analysing patterns in customer behaviour to find chances for future campaigns and advertising efforts that have an impact.
What You Will Bring:
- A minimum of 6 years experience in a creative role with at least 3 years experience in a senior role in a creative agency or similar environment.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in branding, digital, and integrated campaigns.
- Exceptional conceptual and design skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with motion/3D tools is a bonus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- A passion for storytelling and pushing creative boundaries.
