Design Lead

This studio is looking for a Design Lead who has strong creative skills, amazing attention to detail and incredible Adobe Creative Cloud / InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator skills, along with a positive attitude.
Our client specialises in delivering effective solutions with a personal touch – through graphic design, branding, collateral design, marketing material and more. The team is growing, and are now looking for a Design Lead to join them on a full time basis. You will be a visual storyteller, with outstanding creative ideas, strong technical design skills especially with Photoshop image composites and retouching, amazing attention to detail and someone who loves to have a great time along the way.

Reporting to the Creative Director/Founder, the Design Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping
the studio’s creative direction, brand identity and digital presence, as well as being responsible
for leading the strategy and design direction for all the client briefs daily. You will work
closely with the tight knit team to inspire and deliver outstanding design.

You will have the opportunity to make a real impact and build up the offering they currently provide, all the while working with a creative group of people.

Role and responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design strategy, vision and execution of projects
• Ensuring the quality of the design output across all platforms, channels, and media
• Clever conceptual creative ideas, creative editing, and image search
• Brand creation, brand design development & brand guidelines
• Design and produce campaign/advertising ideas and assets for social media, email campaigns, and digital advertising
• Publication and layout design
• Adherence to client brand guidelines, brief requirements and within budgets
• Curiously seeking out the latest design trends and best practices
• Your knowledge and skills
• Graphic Design qualification with 6+ years’ experience
• Experience in a similar senior design role
• Excellent Adobe CC suite skills – InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator
• Strong with photoshop image composites and retouching
• Strategic thinker with an innovative approach to solving problems & finding opportunities
• Strong communicator, verbally, via email and in team chats
• Ability to multi-task, and work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Flawless attention to detail

Advantageous if you have any of the following skills:

• Illustration
• Copywriting
• Digital UI design and HTML5 banner design
• Microsoft Office e.g. PowerPoint templates
